Featured Explorer DEEPEND

About the DEEPEND Consortium:

Back to VIRTUAL EXPLORATIONS

The DEEPEND Consortium was formed partly to study the long term effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on the deep-sea of the northern Gulf of Mexico. A variety of researchers with different specialties and representing different organizations work together on the DEEPEND project. Much of the team's research is conducted at sea with participants providing timely blogs, videos, photos and more. The first three parts of the DEEPEND project took place from 2015 to 2017.

DEEPEND has been a Featured Explorer with the Oceanscape Network since 2015.
